Our BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER SERVICE and ICE CREAM SOCIAL will be this coming Sunday night, August 4th, at 5 PM. We'd love to invite all teachers, educators, school employees, elected officials, and anyone else from the community who would love to join with us as we pray our precious children back into this school year! Members, please bring a freezer of ice cream or a dessert.

HOPE CLOSET.. We are collecting gently used kid’s clothes and shoes for our FOSTER CARE CLOSET. Other requested items are diapers, baby beds/pack-n plays and lice kits. We will also be collecting back- packs and back to school supplies (crayons, markers, coloring pencils, glue sticks, paper, fiskars scissors, etc) for the foster families. Items can be left downstairs in the foster closet room (former children’s classroom in the basement). If anyone would like to volunteer to help with the closet, please contact Amy Wells by text.

We are saddened to announce that Robin Mahoney passed away in Franklin on Tuesday evening. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM at Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville on Saturday, July 27th, with Terry Alan Jones speaking and the funeral will be at 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Southside will provide lunch for the family at 11 AM on Saturday at the church building. Please bring your dishes to the church by 10:30 AM. We also need volunteers to help serve the meal to the family. Continue to remember Gary, Glenn and Ken and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Robin and Ralph meant so very much to their children and to Southside.

Maurice Connor from the 19th Avenue Church of Christ in Springfield, TN will be bringing us a message on "The Prophetess". We all know what a treat it is whenever Maurice visits Southside! Congratulations to Erin and Billy McAndrews! Baby Kayleigh Rae McAndrews has arrived!! She was born at 10:35 a.m. today, 7/17/19. She weighed 8 lbs and was 20 1/2" long. Her sister is Kensley and her grandparents are Terry and Carla Dodson.

LADIES FELLOWSHIP... All ladies are invited to join us for "Christmas in July" on Monday, July 29th, at 5:30 PM in the basement of the Education Building. You can sign up on the bulletin board in the Welcome Center. We will enjoy food, fun, and fellowship! :)

We rejoiced with the angels last night at Mike Medeiros’s decision to get rebaptized. He had been baptized when he was very young and he wasn’t sure he understood the full impact of it then. We’re so thankful to the Lord for Mike’s example last night and every day!

Kila is the daughter of Jennifer Medeiros, the niece of Mike and Terri Medeiros, and the great-granddaughter of Dan Medeiros. Make sure and remember Kila in your prayers as she begins this exciting new journey in her life!
